The ‘haul culture’ views clothes as disposable - buying lots of clothes you don't need (for clicks, views, clout), and disconnecting from where clothes are made, what from, and by who, as well as feeding into a wholly unsustainable fashion system.

Fashion waste is snowballing into an irreversible problem. Soon, buying unused clothing might become the new luxury. This could transform fashion into a class phenomenon rather than the mass phenomenon that it is today.
If you think 'recycled' fabrics come from secondhand fabrics, you're wrong. They come from the beverage industry waste - namely, single-use plastic bottles. Once they're worn out, recycled fabrics end up in landfills, turning former waste (bottles) into new waste (clothes).

These numbers don't speak to me. What speaks to me is that these shoes entail • a midsole made with 17% plant-based materials (the rest being plastic) • a textile (again, plastic) lining • a no-dye upper - good but not enough. = Another marketing gimmick

Vegan leather is not leather. It's plastic. Rebranding synthetic materials as 'cruelty-free' doesn't take away from the fact that they're made from fossil fuels. #fastfashion
Before you buy a piece of clothing, check its fabric content. Always look for garments that are made of 3 or fewer fabric types. Remember: higher quality garments contain fewer blended fabrics. For this reason, they're easier to recycle.
