Disappointed at outcome of UN Security Council vote on Palestinian UN membership. It is past time for Palestine to take its rightful place amongst the nations of the world. 🇮🇪 fully supports UN membership and will vote in favour of any UNGA resolution to that end.
@MichealMartinTD The countries of the world must come together to amend the way voting is conducted within the United Nations and abolish the veto
@MichealMartinTD Every day Ireland demonstrates its greatness and wisdom. Instead of exploiting its past struggles with colonization and portraying itself as a victim, it has leveraged its history of hardship to advocate for the oppressed and assist occupied and persecuted peoples.
Yes, in 1948 it could have been a state had it accepted the @UN Partitiation plan of 1947. It could also have been a state since the territories in question were actually controlled by Jordan and Egypt and they called have declared it a state. Meaning Pre 1967 borders. But the Arabs launched a war and have been killing Jews and Israelis ever since.
@MichealMartinTD Why didn’t they declare independence in 1948?
@MichealMartinTD Hole in the ceiling needs looking at first though
@MichealMartinTD You mean your disappointed with the US. Just say it. Better still have a word with them. Absolute disgrace.
@MichealMartinTD Why not endorse the taliban while you are at it Micheal
@MichealMartinTD Did you join Hamas, by any chance? Seems you are more worried about your pet project than the country that pays your salary
@MichealMartinTD You got to love the UN. Security Council membership has turned our Politicians into International Gombeens.
@MichealMartinTD Thank you Mr Martin for your brave stance towards Palestine. Irish people faced similar oppression before and you know thier struggling. It's shameful that US is like a world's bully who care only for protecting their beloved Israel no matter how many war crimes they commit.🔻🐝
