All of the recent news re #UnitedAirlines incidents this past week + the Alaska flight that had the panel/window detach reminded me that these may not even be the biggest issues with the US aviation industry right now. This NYT report from last August: "But the most acute challenge, The Times found, is that the nation’s air traffic control facilities are chronically understaffed" nytimes.com/interactive/20…
"As of May, only three of the 313 air traffic facilities nationwide had enough controllers to meet targets set by the F.A.A. and the union representing controllers, The Times found."
@AbraarKaran Cue 1 day COVID isolation policy reminder
@AbraarKaran I flew as a captain for United and I was targeted and unrelentingly retaliated against for writing up maintenance squawks, security violations and sexual harassment. For a year they hassled me instead of fixing their issues. Ultimately I sued. I have zero respect for the company.
@AbraarKaran I wonder how many of @APFAunity’s members are out with long covid as i’m standing here at the airport traveling today listening to all the coughing and sneezing.
@AbraarKaran I'm sure the mass disability from Covid won't make a difference 🫠
