What if we cleaned the air in schools and hospitals and all it did was stop this and every future airborne pandemic and also loads of the health problems caused by air pollution?
@1goodtern I know it's not as serious, but I'd include ALL public indoor spaces. The economy might benefit if folk like me didn't have to avoid places like shops, restaurants, cinemas, public transport, etc.
@1goodtern ”But that is tooooo much to ask!!! Because…. freedom! Brunches and dinners in stuffed restaurants! These things are necessary for me, or I get lethally depressed!”
@1goodtern They’d probably have to admit they were wrong first though (see post 5 in this thread….Ego).

@1goodtern Would be amazing. Less respiratory diseases (Covid, RSV, flu, cold, measles, TB, etc), allergic reactions to pollen & dust, student absences. Fewer substitute teachers. More alert students in class. Result: Healthier students, teachers, & staff. What a concept!
@1goodtern Can’t do anything without an RCT apparently…
@1goodtern People would start to believe govts can do more than just help billionaires and that would be dangerous for billionaires cuz people would demand govts address other problems that plague society and the biggest plague on society is billionaires who control society
@1goodtern I don’t understand why this seems impossible, they aren’t hard to buy or use. Even air purifiers for residential use come with HEPA filters - I’ve got 3 to reduce pollen! But I’ve never seen one in a medical facility, public building etc. It seems such an easy thing to do 🤷♀️
