@closfeliciano @NedRyerson1957 It's okay to try, but also need to know what you're up against. The elite loaded up. All the Kings could do was stand pat or try to sell Roy. Were they good enough to possibly win a round maybe? Win a round and go all the way? I didn't think they were
@averagecapsfan He found out how to be an elite player when he got older without his physical traits when he was young and he got dragged for it. Meanwhile Bergeron, Crosby, Kopitar celebrated lmao
@NedRyerson1957 @jm11or3 Agreed. Both Clarke and Spence need to be i the lineup. Gives more creativity on the backend
@NedRyerson1957 @closfeliciano They didn't make the playoffs until the week before the season ended, though. The roster wasn't good enough to compete with the elite teams like DAL, VGK, EDM, or COL. If they were an actual cup contender I would've been okay with it, but now they lose the possibility of losinga…
@closfeliciano Respectfully disagree. Keeping him didn't give them a better shot. Lost pick won't sink the franchise, but you don't gain an asset and risk the chance of losing him for nothing.
@jm11or3 If the Kings sign him it possibly blocks Clarke. I think they should find a way to get both Clarke and aspence into the lineup. Paying Roy 5 million would be a mitake by the Kings given the cap and roster needs. He's earned his money but it might be with another team
@sasha__maksimov @sturek42 @vanmuyen @ryanwhitney6 This has nothing to do with the oilers. But you are seriously underestimating the kings. Acting like a core of kempe, danault, doughty, kopitar is a push over is weak…
@raps_in_6_ @WhereIsPetan Hey McDavid shut down Kopitar and mckinnion shut down schefele so they win selke.
Those who told me the week of the trade deadline that trading Roy would send a bad message to the team, or brought up 2012 and 2014, was keeping Roy for five playoff games worth it now? #GoKingsGo
@EklundMaxwell @dhockey13 Can you show us a kopitar power play montage?
LA Kings prospect tidbit this week (non-Reign/Kings players): -Angus Booth: Went scoreless, but team made QMJHL final. -Kaleb Lawrence: Returned from five-game suspension yesterday; held scoreless. -Koehn Ziemmer: Had two goals and a secondary assist in Prince George Cougars'…
@MikeBartner Byfield is a 6’5” beast who is a great playmaker and scorer. He’s also 21 years old. Highest upside of everyone on this list and will be the Kings franchise C once Kopitar retires. Inherent value over wingers by default.
@irfgaffar Sure. That's all it is. Not great players? Like Gretzky, Datsyuk, St. Louis, Kopitar, Francis, Bossy, Sakic? LOL. Hall of Famers who won the Cup. Top scoring leaders, clutch players, playoff performance. Petterson led team in GWG, road points this year. Scoring last playoffs.
@JeffVeillette I've been on the bandwagon of saying Kings mgt thought they had discovered a magic formula of dominating games with big defensive centers neutralizing all talent on the other side. That winning heals everything. That they had a unique pathway open given how strong Kopitar &…
@wiley77 Watching the Bad News Bears…back of the uni…Chico’s Bail Bonds…”Let freedom ring”…I think we know who’s winning the derby today…
@JasonGregor Where Kings mgt failed is drinking their own kool aid over big centers. They believed that the pair of Kopitar & Dan could neutralize any 2 top lines in the line, thus establishing the Kings as elite in the top 6. Such that they only then would need to win the bottom 6. This…
